Update: Help-Off Road Challenge Startup/Resetting

I tried switching out my Off-Road Challenge Monitor, as it was a Wells U5000 which had lost its red color awhile back, even after a fresh capkit. I installed a Nanao MS8-26su by switching the resolutions, also spliced the video connections to match the existing connector, and used the existing power supply. The Nanao is a 120V so I would not need to use the stepdown.

When I turned it on after the 1st hookup, there was some buzzing from the steering wheel area, and the monitor was black, except for a 3 inch line horizontally across the middle. I turned it off right away, double checked connections, and could find nothing out of the ordinary. Double checked the ground, solid connections, and nothing.

Any ideas of what to look for next? I'm really wanting this thing back up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can have pictures available upon request.

Thanks!

BUMP....

I took a look through my manual and found that the Nanao white is not sync white, so I now just have a blank screen. After looking at the board, non of the LED's on the PCB are showing up which leads me to think power is not getting to the boards. What can I now try/attempt knowing this new information?

Progress.....

Seems like I'm making answers to my own thread...(any help would be appreciated lol).

So, I turned up the +5 just a tad and seemed like it made a little progress, but it restarted once then shut down, then I unplugged the monitor's power only, and it seemed to start to boot up, then continually restart. Is this a power supply problem? What am I doing wrong???

Still looking for some help.....I can't get much further. Do I need a new power supply? How can I get the PSU at the right voltage? Am I hooking something up wrong for it not to work with the new monitor?

HELP!!!

I'd go ahead and change out the power supply. If it is going in a perpetual reboot it sounds like the power /amp is dipping and triggering the reset. I had one that kept doing the same thing and although the +5 stayed within 5-5.1 the game would reboot. Replaced the power supply and game came back to life. I think the old PS was dropping out the amps and starving the game.

Attached below are a few pictures of what the screen is doing now. It's starting up fine and staying on, it's just upside-down and not holding the picture. What can I do next?
