Victim: Chicago Coin Hollywood

Sympton: inserting a coin will always add 2 credits.

Ok, this was working correctly at 1 point in time, but for the life of me I just can't seem to figure this out. If I adjust the right ramp value (refering to the attached diagram H3/4) - that works correctly (2, 3, 4 & 5 credits). Coin control at F23 will: on = 2 credits, off = game starts as soon as coin inserted (does not affect the credit count).

Any ideals??

Thanks

Diagram can be downloaded from here (approx 5 megs - sorry, but becomes blurry any smaller) http://members.shaw.ca/junkuser1988/Hollywood/Hollywood diagram-sm.pdf

Ok, spent some time on this yesterday and what I found does not seem to make a whole lot of sense (must be something else happening that I can't seem to locate).

Anyways, refering to the attached picture...refering to row 23 we have the coin up switch (the center switch is wired parallel to the right switch - looks original). With the jumper in the 'ON' position, when the coin switch is activated the 'Right chute relay' turns on vs. the 'Coin relay' as it should as shown in the diagram. To add, the 'right chute relay' is the only relay to turn on during the coin up phase.

I have verified the wiring is as shown (with the exception of the center switch noted above) and I am getting power when measured from 'ON' to ground and have verified that the 'Coin control relay' switch is as shown. This tells me that A-5/Anti-cheat and C-5 switches are closed and as they should be and that the 'Coin relay' coil is passing power - but it does not turn on when the coin switch closes. Now if manually trigger the 'Coin relay' switch to the left of the coil, the relay closes so that indicates that the coil is working.

The odd thing as well is that the 'Right chute relay' energizes despite the 'coin control relay' switch being open.

Basically everything leads me to believe that there is some issue with the 'coin control relay' switch, yet physically it appears as shown in the diagram (with the top circuit closed and the bottom circuit open).

I seem to be missing something in this picture - maybe a different set of eyes will see something different?

Of note: the 'selection switch (ON/OFF)' is labelled as: 1 coin = 1 play, 2 coin = 3 plays. Right now the unit when 'ON' adds 2 credits, when 'OFF' starts games as soon as coin switch closes. Adding a 2nd coin adds 2 more credits (ON) and starts 2 player game (OFF).
