help me with reading the numbers on polyester caps (Toshiba PB6643)

Toshiba D29CR55 keeps shorting out HOTs, it could be caused by bad polyester caps in the HOT section, I'm no electronics whiz so I wrote down what it looks like they all say (they're 10+ years old and have worn off a bit)

initial gibberish I've found:

C442 - top: G82 H S (??) bottom: 1.8 KHP Y49
C421 - top: 103J S (??) bottom: 630 Y47
C425 - top: 103J S (??) bottom: 630 Y47
C423 - top: 334J DH (??) bottom: 400 Y42
C424 - top: 184J DH (??) bottom: 400 Z02
C420 - top: 154J DH (??) bottom: 400 Y45
C437 - 225K 100 N
C426 - 225K 100 N
C418 - 222H 1.8 KHP Y42
C431 - PM 104J 400V
C441 - 472H 1.8 KHP Y42

EDIT: I got a reply from Jomac, I want to clear the air and state that there's no "book" of his he's trying to push, and I'm sorry I ever suggested it based on some hearsay. Startech has a repair manual that he put together a few years ago, which probably led to the confusion.

EDIT: Updated cap values. looks like we have them all now.

C442 1.8pF
C421 630pF
C425 630pF
C423 400pF
C424 400pF
C420 400pF
C437 2.25uF 10% 100V
C426 2.25uF 10% 100V
C418 .0022 uF
C431 .1uF
C441 1.8pF

It's been a while, but those should be correct. Not sure on the voltages.

C442 - top: G82 H S (??) bottom: 1.8 KHP Y49..= 82pf1800V
C421 - top: J03J S (??) bottom: 630 Y47..........= 3pf630V
C425 - top: J03J S (??) bottom: 630 Y47..........= 3pf630V
C423 - top: 334J DH (??) bottom: 400 Y42........= .33uf400V
C424 - top: 184J DH (??) bottom: 400 Z02........= .18uf400V
C420 - top: 154J DH (??) bottom: 400 Y45........= .15uf400V
C437 - 225K 100 N........................................= 2.2uf100V
C426 - 225K 100 N........................................= 2.2uf100V
C418 - 222H 1.8 KHP Y42...............................= .0022uf1800V
C431 - PM 104J 400V....................................= .1uf400V
C441 - 1.8 KHP Y42......................................missing numbers? Maybe same as C418?

Are you sure you have the correct numbers for C442/C421/C425. 3pf is crazy small. I don't know if that size is made. Also, C441 isn't a complete number...you're missing it's value.

that was all I could read on them. that's what kinda sucks, the markings were worn off pretty badly on some of them.

first 3 were the most unusual, and were worn the most. I can try and give it another look today.

anyone got a DDR/Beatmania/Dance Maniax nearby? :)

I just woke up, the top lines were the worst, hence why I put ?? by every single one. one looked like a friggin infinity symbol but I know that's not right.

do the top lines mean anything, and if so, what do you get from those? lol

Maybe the J03J is actually 103J.....the first J is probably some number (as opposed to a letter). That would (then) look like a normal part number/value.

103 = .01uf
Looks like both are rated at 630 volts.
470H....are you sure that's a zero. That's not a normal marking....that could make it 470pf...or 47pf....

silly question..

what do the J's, H's, K's, etc. all mean? if you haven't figured it out by now I know very little about electronics at this level. :)

I'll try and re-read C441 again.

The J's, H's, K's, etc. after the numbers represent the tolerance of the capacitor. The lower the tolerance the better generally.

J is 5% tolerance.
K is 10% tolerance.
G is 20% Tolerance.

I have a friend with one of these monitors that has vertical collapse. Does anyone know what IC chip is in there?

Probably a long shot but a source for a cap kit would be great.
