Last year my wife was nice enough to let me use about 1/2 the space of our office to get games in the house. The plans at that time were DK, Playchoice 10, Zoo Keeper and Sprint 2.

This year I was able to gain a little more room by blocking off the closet (only keep things in there that I rarely need to get to). The Playchoice was sold and the Sprint 2 was banashed to the garage after 2 failed attempts by elektron forge to fix the board. I also got into pins so now my current lineup that takes up 1 wall is Super Mario Bros, DK, Zoo Keeper, Revenge From Mars and Rollercoaster Tycoon. The other wall has a desk and space for 1 upright.

It looks like my Sprint 2 board is fixed and heading back to me. I really want the Sprint 2 in the house, but the room I have left is 26 inches wide and the Sprint 2 is 36. I am leaning towards moving the desk to the gargage but it's an antique that was used by my great grandfather and grandfather at Carnation milk co and then my dad had it for a long time.

Do I?????

1. Lose the desk and gain room for the Sprint 2 and 2 more uprights?
2. Get a smaller desk and gain room for the Sprint 2?
3. Send an existing game to the garage and make room for Sprint 2?
4. Other options????

I'm not sure how my wife feels about taking the desk out and either leaving it in the garage or selling it.

Thoughts?????? - Barry

I'd go with option 3 as well. You wouldn't want anything to happen to the desk while in the garage. Although it might seem a little of a nuisance, rotating a game out every once in a while is viable. I'd rank your existing cabs in order of time you spend playing them, and move the least played out to the garage. Enjoy Sprint 2 for a while, and after a few months (or more), you can always change the line-up!

Unfortunately, I don't have a garage, so I can't really rotate!

Option #1

Put the desk in another room not garage though.

It won't fit in any other room. I have 2 rooms downstairs and it barely fit in the room it's in. It was a straight shot from the garage but I had to remove 2 doors and it squeaked through. The other room downstairs has a turn that the desk won't make even standing on end.

I think for now I'll go with option 3. Thanks everyone - Barry

You could always mame the desk like those craigslist ads ;)

You must have seen this: newyork.craigslist.org/que/vgm/2695321460.html

If you put the desk in the garage, make sure you wrap it and pack it up so the weather and the rodents won't damage it.

I talked with the wife and decided to keep the desk, but move it to the garage for storage. My garage is dry and rodent free but I'll still wrap it anyway. Moving games in/out is a tight fit and real pain so I want to keep that to a minimum. I had my daughter help me this morning and here is the room as of now. I still have a Pac mini to bring in after some minor repairs and that leaves room for 1 more. - Barry

First off that Jabber Jaw avatar is awesome!

Secondly, I can fully understand your dilemma since just last week I actually moved the electric eyes on my garage door opener to gain an extra 2 inches of space!

The damn garage is so full right now, I couldn't get the door shut; it's literally worse than the final warehouse scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, or any episode of Hoarders....

My vote- make as much room for games as you can, you'll get a lot more happiness from any game than you will from a desk.
