Ok, so here's the premise: I'm building a Wild Gunman cab out of an old DKJr and I've hit a bit of a roadblock. I have in my possession a single monitor PC10 PCB (PCK1-02-CPU) and I want to wire it up in said cab.
Heres the Flickr gallery of my build so you can see what I'm dealing with. My goal is to have the game playable with both joysticks using a Vs Unisystem CP and the gun (as shown in Back to the Future II). I also intend to have the remaining buttons for the PC10 that are not found on the Vs panel (game select, reset, enter, etc) hidden under the speaker panel on the ledge just above the coin door.
Anyways, I have a whole ton of random Nintendo wiring harnesses here. Some have been modified and some have been what looks to be hacked up on one side. What harnesses am I looking for the PCK1-02-CPU? I'm told a Vs harness can be flipped and used on the single monitor PC10. And I have a set of those (listed UP-44P-072 and UP-36P-072 on the connectors). However they looked like they've been hacked on one side of the edge connector. And on top of this the
Unisystem to Playchoice 10 Conversion manual lists the included harness as a "UP-36P-080".
Alternatively, I have a spare
Mikes Arcade Nintendo VS Unisystem to JAMMA adapter laying around, I know it can be flipped to be used with the PC10. Could this be used to help? Or does this not allow me to plug in the gun? I don't need to use it if I can get the actual Nintendo harnesses figured out, which would be ideal.
-Am I heading in the right direction?
-Would these UP-44P-072 and UP-36P-072 harnesses work?
-Why are they hacked on 1 side?
-how on earth do I connect the gun and use both player sticks?
-What about this JAMMA adapter from Mikes?
-What else am I missing here?
