Ok, bit of a story so bear with me here, as I really need some help. So I had installed a vector labs ESB kit in a star wars that I had just fixed up. When I switched over to ESB it would switch over, but the game would give off a wierd clicking sound. When you would start the game the sound/music would be incorrect. If you switched back to SW it would continue to give the wierd clicking sound and the sound/music would still be incorrect.

So I pull the boards figuring it was one of the eproms on the sound board not being seated all the way. Go back through and reseat them. problem still not fixed. I go back and try to re-seat everything. when I got to the vector boards I pull one of the eproms and of course one of the legs gets accidentally bent in the process..badly. I try to bend it back as gently and carefully as I can but of course, it snapped...damn. I put the board back in hoping it would some how work..of course it doesnt. The game starts up, I can hear "red five checking in" but nothing after that. Even if you let it sit there for a little while you dont hear any game sounds..

So what do I do here? I still have all the chips I took out of the SW so I guess I could put those back in, but I have no clue which chips go where. I hate to have to go track down and buy another ESB kit, just for one busted leg, but I dont know what my other options would be.. Anyone have any ideas?

Cut the front panel off of the cabinet, remove the control panel, monitor bezel, remove the monitor, install a seat and seat back, install a phone. All fixed.

Or just solder the leg back on once it's in the socket..or jumper it from where it's broken off to the pin the socket connects to

When switching games a click is normal as the game/sound boards are resetting
to play the next game. Do you have an install guide? Can you post pictures of
the kit installed in each of the SW boards? Also I can replace any broken pins
free of charge, just mail back the damaged board.

The clicking sound continues through out the game if you keep playing as well as the game having incorrect music and sound fx, so that's what made me think it wasnt just the click between games when the game loads.

I don't have an official install guide.. I found an install video on youtube and used that..maybe not the best idea in hindsight..

Thanks for the offer to fix the pins, much appreciated. Could you send me an address to ship it to?

Here are some pics of the board. If anything else is needed just let me know. Thanks!

F-that..if I'm going to do this I'm gonna do it right..massage chair/ recliner..built in cooler installed...I'm also possibly interested in inverting the speakers in the marquee so that they now face downwards into the chair area and then connecting the speakers to my t.v. for a surround sound experience

Board repaired.

First problem was a bad solder connection on the kit sound daughter card.

Second problem was no vector display at all, replaced the Jrok
AVG with the more reliable discrete Vector Labs AVG and all is working now.

The VLabs AVG is $40 if you want me to include it with the board or
I will ship you back just the defective AVG, perhaps you can return it to Jrok.

So the game was working before he installed your ESB kit and my parts are unreliable ?
Fascinating.
