Just got this in the mail to day to put in my ms pacman stand up arcade and im having trouble getting started.

http://www.jammaboards.com/store/?s...-pac-upright&dispatch=products.search&x=0&y=0

I am havine ALOT of difficulty figuring out how to put this stupid thing in. It says "To install you would just first remove your original Ms. Pacman PCB from the cabinet connector"

1. Ok, do I take the bolts out around the whole pcb to get it out AND detach the daughter board too?
2. The 60 in 1 pcb is ALOT smaller so how do I secure it in the cabinet?

This is a christmas present and its stressing me out trying to get it ready in time for my son.

What do you have, your link doesn't work?

If your cab has the original Ms Pac wiring you will need more than the 60-in-1 board. You'll need, at the very least:

60-in-1 board
Pac to Jamma adaptor
Switching power supply

You remove the Ms Pac board and daughter card.
Install the 60-in-1 board, securing with screws directly to the side of the cabinet.
Install switching power supply.
Install adaptor.
Adjust monitor to best display.

Enjoy your multi board.

Where are you located? Maybe someone close could help you out with that.

Sorry, link fixed.

I think it has everything you mentioned so maybe I will try it when I get home.

Would it be possible to go back to the origional ms pacman in the future if I wanted to?

That does look like it is complete. Any wood screws will do to mount the board, you do not want it flopping around in the cabinet and you don't want to add stress to the wiring. If I remember correctly the daughter card is held on by some screws that you can re-use for securing the multi board.

That sounds good. I was thinking of just leaving the mother board screwed down but odveously unplugged, just in case I wanted to put it back to stock.

So is do I have to take out the screws that go all the way around the origional PCB? I dont want to do more than necessary.

OH, and how do you adjust the monitor?? Im affraid it will come out sideways or something :)

The problem with leaving the original board installed is the new board needs to go in the same place due to how the wiring is routed. You don't really want the boards bouncing against one another.

The original PCB should be sitting in a plastic guide block and have a couple screws holding it in place near the top. Remove those screws.

Monitor adjustment differs between monitor models. Most monitor manuals are available online, if you feel you need to adjust something come here and ask.

HELP! I put it in and the screen turns red, green and white checked. I can hear the sound but the controls won't do anything. I left all the dip switches to off. Please help!

Check your looping ground wires that are connecting all of the buttons and make sure they are in fact grounded. With that PC supply hookup, it may not be supplying a ground to the ground positions further down the JAMMA pinout, which your buttons may be falsely grounded to.

Just a guess.

On the jamma board?

I did that and it didn't do anything different. When it comes on it goes through a bunch of words then stops on the green red white screen and the joystick or player 1and2 buttons don't do anything.

Could that be it even if it worked flawlessly just before this install?

The install of what? A 60-1 PCB? If so, possibly. Just tie a ground line from that ground on the PC power supply to the ground positions on your JAMMA harness.

Be careful, not to do this while it is on or let the wire touch the surface of the PCB while it is connected to ground. Could damage your board.

There is a red button on the inside of the coin door but it isn't hooked up so I touched the wires together and got it to switch screens and now it works but is SUPER loud. I have no idea how to change it. Any thoughts?

From that pic the 60 in 1 board appears to be in test mode.

Check that you have dipswitch 4 set correctly on the board. :)

the 60 in 1 has a little orange volume pot on the board. It can also be adjusted in the set-up screen.
