I just received a DK board and am going to attempt to have both that and my DK Jr. board installed in my Jr. cab.

Is there a way to set things up so that I can close it up and switch between the two without having to go behind and manually moving the cables?

do I need like a double Jamma harness or something? Maybe an I/O switch board?

bump, still need a way to get both of these bad boys in 1 cab!

and will I need two power supplies to run both of them?

You would need to put a Jamma harness in the cab along with jamma adapters for each board and use Mikes 2 in 1 switcher or the 6 in 1 switcher from Jammaboards. There is a 2 in 1,like the 6 in 1 out there, but it is a POS.
You also need to hack in a switching power supply or make a power harness to go from the DK power supply to the jamma harness.
Then you need a connector to hook up the video from jamma harness to the monitor and also an inverter to flip the video,if you have a sanyo monitor.
Mikes is more expensive @$135.00 and powers both boards at the same time and the jammaboards is cheaper @ $99.00 and powers only the board in use.
The jammaboards switcher need the -5v mod to get sound from the DK & DKJR boards but that is an easy mod.
They will also do the mod for you @ $5.00 a slot,so that would be an extra $10.00.
Either way you go it will cost a few bucks and be some work.
It is nice to not have to pull the cab away from the wall to switch games.
Here is my DK with 6 boards and the 6 in 1 in it.
The 6 in 1 is under the coin box,so it can't be seen in the pics.

I looked at that set up for my dk, $135, + 90 for 2 jamma adapters a jamma harness at $12. It can get expensive and you have to rewire your cab. Or I guess you could get another $45 adapter and keep the original wiring. Do they make those?

Mark Spaeth aka Hudsonarcade might still have one of his adapters to connect the original little black connector harness to an edge connector.
You plug the little connectors into the adapter then attach it to the edge connector.
You would have to open up the cab to switch games though.
That is the easiest way of all assuming Mark still has some.

I responded to his for sale thread recently asking for pics and got no response.

I'd wait for Arcadeshop to put theirs out. A couple months back, a user noted that he had received a sample unit to test and that Arcadeshop would be taking the project retail very soon. I would think they must be awful close to product launch, or they already have and just have not updated the site to reflect the new item.

And yes, Mark, you did it first and you're cooler than everyone else :p

Another option would be to get the Double Donkey Kong mod done on your Jr. board. I think it would work out to be around the same price as the Jamma switcher/adapters.

I thought of that but some of the sounds for DK on that board are not right and I can't stand them.
