So I went to a local pin/ arcade shop. I don't have much knowledge about pins as I really have never played them. As I was walking around and looking at one to potentially buy for my arcade I saw some familiar titles. Seawitch, Playboy, Black Knight... and then I stumbled upon a REALLY sweet pin. It was a duel playfield and it had dragons and looked all medievil. I remember a dragon on the playfield. I looked a bit more modern than say a Seawitch. Also, he said it was one of the last pins made by Williams??? I think.

I just CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME??!!!
I thought it was "Medieval" something....???

I was blown away at the price of $12,999!!! He told me it was super rare and the "holy grail" of pins. So I was trying to do some research on it. Any idea what it would be??

Never mind, found it. Medieval Madness.
It looks sweet, but DAMN that is a lot of money.

What does everyone think of Black Knight??

It looks really cool, but SO much money.
I wanted a really fun Pin, but was thinking more around $1,000. I'm about $11,999 short.

I think it's actually less than that. It looked ok. Had some age.
I just want something cool looking. I would love a Creature from the Black Lagoon, or any type of Monster/ Universal thing. Space Invaders looked cool too.

Medieval Madness is only a single level game not a dual/double level game (Black Knight, Solar Fire, Jungle Lord, Pharaoh, Black Knight 2000). The price of $12999 would be in the price range of a MM at a retail store. In the last year or so the price of MM (Medieval Madness) has gotten crazy. Even private party MM's are in the $8k and up price. Yes it is a 'holy grail' pin but not super rare. The super rare dual/double level Williams game is Solar Fire. Not impossible to find but Williams made a lot less of them than Medieval Madness.

Of the newer Bally/Williams monster theme/Universal theme games CFTBL (Creature From the Black Lagoon) is your cheaper game to buy. Like MM (Medieval Madness), MB (Monster Bash) has gone way up in price. CFTBL is about 1/2 of the price of a MB.

What does everyone think of Black Knight??

Black Knight is a classic 80's pin. Very cool art, great 80's electronic sounds, lots of fun to play. There's also a sequel black knight 2000 made in the early 90's (?) that's pretty fun.

I love Black Knight, it was also the pin that got me started with the damned things. Not a complicated game by todays standards, but a fast and fun title. I'm also a big fan of Firepower, another great Steve Ritchie title.

But really, there are a LOT of great pins out there, and a good one for $1000 is very possible. Keep an eye on craigslist or the forum here, and snag one you think is interesting. Just be aware they can be maintenance hogs, some worse than others.
