So, I got this Namco Sticker Mania photo sticker machine that ive been toying with. It was completly inoperable when i bought it,I cleaned 4 years of dirt and grime from it,replaced the power cord, repaired the printer, replaced the switches and bulbs in the buttons, new starter and bulb in the top marquee, added credit switch etc. Now I need a camera for it,It has a wide angle lens with one yellow rca jack and a power port.

I posted it for sale but if i can get it 100% i may just keep it,Ive looked into security cameras but it seems the one that MIGHT work is expensive,I cant find any info on it online. There is a plaque on the back that is fadded that say's photo vend.

The monitor has great color as does the printer, everythings working except the camera. does anyone know anything about these? It has a computer in it running windows 95 but its a '97 cab. any help would be appreciated.

First off, I know nothing about these first hand. Making guesses based on what you posted. You said yellow RCA jack. Classically that is a composite video signal. Assuming that is, and assuming the signal is caught by the pc...say with a tv in or video in card...all that you need is a simple cam that outputs composite. Ideal situation would be with a RCA out.
How about this:

You may have to rearrange the power situation. More or less power and vido travel that long cable to be broken out at the home end. They use that RJ11 or 45 on the cam end to make the cable profile small so you can pull it inside walls easier. If you want a quick test I have the black and white version I can lend you.

That is way too big,its pretty small. I guess i could "gut" it but would rather find one more appropriate.

I have a little camera that looks like a tiny webcam, but it just has a composite out. I'm at work now, but I'll send you a picture of it as soon as I get home. I haven't used it in years and I'm sure I can send it your way.

does it have a power supply port?

SO youre saying if you take like a dvd player, plug into the yellow rca connector, you get video then?

If so take a pic of this camera. Im wondering how its wired up. COuld be it runs on 5v or 12v via the small power plug and you dont have power to the camera= it wont work. see if theres any model brand or other info or a sticker ont he camera itself.

so do a little more poking around, mabye youll get lucky and find a bad ps, or something unplugged somewhere.

I havent tried that, will open it up again tomorrow and take a pic of the camera and also try to plug it into a dvd/vcr. If you shine a light directly into the lens you get a little flicker so i think its trying to do something.

Doesn't that machine use a Mitsubishi 12 volt camera ccd-200-ap2 Or was that for a neoprint machine.
