HELP finding ARKANOID COCKTAIL TABLE UNDERLAY (Pics)

The microcontroller looks like an EPROM, so you probably swapped it. Well, not probably... you had to, or it wouldn't have worked.
I don't have a board in front of me, so I can't tell you the position, but the chip label for the upright Arkanoid microcontroller would be "A75 06".
Also, when swapping Arkanoid and Tournament Arkanoid, there are 3 color PROMs (also socketed) that should be swapped. You don't have to (it will run anyway), but they do differ slightly. IIRC, there is something on the title screen of Tournament that won't show up if you've got the wrong color PROMs in there. Never noticed any issues during gameplay though.

Ok. That is probably where my confusion is. The "A75 06" chip I have here is the same dimensions as all the other Eproms.

So you need the specific chip for the cocktail option and the code hasn't been dumped for that microcontroller.

Yeah, and unfortunately, dumping the microcontroller is not trivial. They have a security fuse, and once blown you can't just read the program out of it. There are some versions of the 68705 that have a vulnerability... and can be cracked (with some custom hardware to probe it).

More difficult than the Pac+ glob was? :D

I was thinking of restoring my Arkanoid-Revenge of Doh cocktail game, which is actually already in pretty good condition. But I might just convert it back to Galaxian, which is what I believe it was born as.
