So my flyback shot a bright blue arc out of it yesterday, and now needs to be replaced. It came out of a 19 Kortek chassis (K1-2-V0). I contacted Bob Roberts and he has no info on this part.

There is a sticker on the side of the flyback that reads HCF-A010. There is also some lettering under the screen brightness knob that reads "180-720F" and "K H 28."

Does anyone know where I can get this part or an equivalent? I'd rather not have a dead monitor on my hands, but there isn't much info on this part. Here are a few pictures of it.

Am I shit out of luck?

Kortek flybacks have part numbers that start out: "KFS-xxxxx".

Your model should use Kortek # KFS-60291 (which Bob Roberts usually stocks). This number cross references to HR Diemen # HR8508 and Happ Controls # 49-0907-00.

So is my flyback not OEM? Who makes mine then? I gave the same info here as I did Bob and his response was the following.

"Don't have any info on that one & no xref."

But if you think I'll be safe with that one, then I'll go ahead an order it.

That monitor is over 20 years old and the flyback may have been replaced once before. Possibly it may not have had the correct replacement installed?

Use the numbers I listed in the above post and it should work.

Thanks a lot Ken. Out of the 2 Kortek he stocks, it had to be the $30 one didn't it. Oh well, I'll look around a bit, but now I know what to look for.

The new flyback came yesterday, and I got it installed tonight. It looks a lot different than the one in there, but it seemed to work for the 25 minutes I played today. Thanks again Ken.
