Was messing around with the color pots on this K7000 and now I completely lost green.

Tube is good, I tested another chassis on it and green looks great.

Any help or tips on adjusting the color? The more I play with it the worse I seem to make it lol

as you can see the green bar is completely gone but the green drive pot and green cut off pot are both adjusted to the middle.

If I crank up the green, the bar doesn't show up green, instead the entire monitor goes green

It's more likely it's the green transistor on the neck than the pot. I would check that first.

i had the same thing happen once with the red on my multi jamma cab (k7191), seems there was a break or short in the red signal wire. after a good shake of the harness i had no further issues that i can remember. I wasted a good couple hours time because of a loose wire.

hmm tho if you tried the same wiring and tube but a different chassis then yea ignore what i said it's mostlikely not a wire.

yup i would check Q2 on the chassis and Q202 on the neck board.
check all the pots to be sure they did not break and check the traces and pads to make sure one of them did not lift/break

re-flow the header pins on the chassis wile you have it out.

and i would verify that the green wire is in the video harness connector securely it could have a flaky connection.

How do I test Q202? With the neg lead on the metal and red lead on the middle leg I get .555 in diode mode, No reading on either outside legs

Thanks Buffet I fixed it. I re-flowed the header where RGB sync is connected and and I reflowed the header where the neck board connects to the chassis, I also swapped out Q2 with another just to be sure and everything is good.

Thanks so much. You always have good info for me lol

hmm, makes me wonder if my header needs to be reflow'd as well.

Glad you got it! was this the same one that you had all the other issues with?

no prob happy to help.

glad it was a simple fix.

i would test Q2 to see if it is good. that way you have a spare:)

as far as monitors go i like the K7000 and the sanyo the most.

as i primarily fix the K7000 and stock most all common and some uncommon parts for it.
i hate having to order just one part here and there:)

good luck on the other spare with the issues.
