Museum of the Game® & International Arcade Museum® Forums

Just wanted to pop in to this sub, and say hello. After decades of ROM collecting, MAME building, MiSTer building, and other such tomfoolery, I finally (this last year) decided to start collecting arcade PCBs. I do a lot of circuit and PCB design (for audio / synthesizers) and have decided to recap and restore arcade PCBs as that's another interest of mine obviously.

Anyway, I've started by picking up multiple video scalers (OSSCs, Retrotinks, etc.), Superguns, IC programmers (for ones I didn't already have) JAMMA adapters for some of the older boards I've collected. I also already stock electrolytic capacitors in just about any value one could imagine for my audio work, so I have a good set of tools and parts for rework.

I'm already VERY familiar with console, computer building, repair, etc. I'm quite familiar with some arcade PCBs already having done a bit of analysis on an Air Buster board that I have. (repaired and restored it to match two others that I have that work).

Anyway, this place looked like a cool resource and place to find more information.

So far I've collected:

1x Rolling Thunder
1x Strider
1x Ghouls n Ghosts
1x Final Fight
1x Splatter House
1x Mappy (repair)
1x Super Le Bagnard (repair)
1x Exerion
2x Air Buster
1x Air Buster (repair)
1x Taito F3 + Landmaker
1x Suzuka 8 Hours
1x Thunderforce AC
1x Money Idol Exchanger
1x Great 1000 Miles Rally (repair)
1x Mr. Do's Castle

Still looking for RodLand and Momoko PCBs, and would like to eventually get a Super Scaler X or Y based game and maybe Namco System 2 game like Ordyne.

Anyway, hello! :)
