New guy here.

I've wanted Street Fighter II for years and years and I finally got one a few days ago. It's in a Dynamo HS1 and runs great.

Don't know a ton about the machines yet but I've found these forums and youtube to be very helpful.

Not going for a full-on restore, but I'd like to make it more presentable. Under the t-molding, it looks kind of chewed. Is there anything I can do for that? I don't intend to sand the whole thing and repaint it. Was thinking some kind of touch-up.

Welcome! It's hard to tell from the picture- is it swollen past the t-molding or just knicked up? Without bondo, sanding, painting, etc.- I suppose an easy touch up would be to pull off the t-molding and run a small foam roller with black paint along the channel to fill in the open areas. I would install a different color t-molding as well. It might hide the touch up a bit better.

I think it's just knicked up. Here's a picture that shows how far it sticks out past the t-molding.

Stupid question, could I just get some spray paint, remove the t-molding and lightly sand down where it's knicked the most, and touch it up that way? Can't imagine the cabinet with anything other than black t-molding though.

Sure, but spray paint is messy. You'll need to mask off the rest of the cab- probably not worth it for what you're trying to do.
