Howdy all!

My wife was driving down the road the other day and someone had a Golden Tee 2K sitting on the side of the road for free.
So now it's sitting in my garage!

And I don't know where to start. Someone recommended this site.
Be prepared for lots and lots of questions!

Welcome. Yes, it always starts with just one.

Now you have to turn that cabinet back to what is was originally. Or at least something more enjoyable.
Put a larger control panel on there and you could have a really nice 4 player game.

Welcome to KLOV!

My first cabinet was also free. It's WWF Superstars.

Quick tip! Before asking tons of questions, try using the search function first. There's a very good chance the exact question you have has been answered several times. You may have to rephrase the question or use certain key words though.

I second the turning that cab back into a 4 player game. Golden Tee is the culprit in many a cab conversion, and this one so wants to be a 4 player game again. I'm sure you can find another cab more suitable for golden tee if that's your thing.

Once again, welcome!

which part of Wisconsin?

that's where I'm at. you'll have to visit The Garcade then.
Nice! I'm gonna lean on you for stuff then! ;)

I have been there, but only once. It was a lot of fun.
Have you been to the Midwest Gaming Classic? I've gone the last several years. It's getting crowded!
I haven't been yet, but would like to check out The Vintage Vault Arcade in Mukwonago and the Up-Down Arcade bar in Milwaukee

I've been going to MGC since 2015. I approve of Vintage Vault, not Up-Down.

I did check out Vintage Vault. That was fun. I liked it.
I was down in OH for work and stopped at the "Pinball Garage". That was nice. Mostly pinball. It required a card that you loaded credits onto. I much prefer the Vintage Vault/Garcade system of a wrist band. But I had fun

That probably was originally a Golden Tee.

Open up the latches on the control panel - the PCB is hidden in there.

Look for any "green" around the silver surface mount ICs. If it's got green, it probably needs more work than it is worth. Best to find a replacement board.
