Hello,
My name is Fredrik, living in Norrköping in south of Sweden. I am both new and "old" to VAPS / KLOV. I first joined in 1998 but apparently dropped out some years after. As I am born in 1966, I played many games during the golden years of the early 80's, and especially got bitten by the Atari classics like Centipede, Missile Command and Tempest. I long had the idea to buy myself a game. So in 1993 I bought a Centipede Cabaret, then a Tempest in parts followed by a Missile Command cocktail. All from the same operator who had the space to keep the complete games. As said, I dropped out for many years (but never lost interest), moved to Holland for 3 years, then back to Sweden again, got family and 2 kids. All the time these 3 games followed; sell them never was an option! So, some months ago my active interest sparked again, and I decided to repair and bring the Tempest and Missile to working order again. So here I am, ordering lots of parts from the US, enjoying reading posts and learn a lot. Also thinking of getting a Millipede PCB and install it in my Centipede. Nice to be on the forum!
Cheers // Fredrik

Welcome to the forums.
Nice to see that you've been involved in the hobby so long. I wish I had started sooner.

I know that Pinge80 spends some time here. I have to ask though, you're in Aby, Aby and pinge80 is in Hjo, Hjo. Why the double names for the cities?

Double city names

Hi Marty,
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah I was pretty early, but now I regret I didn't get more stuff, because the prices has really inflated!
Reg the double city names, I saw that too but have no idea why it does that.
Cheers // Fredrik

That's awesome man! Nice to see you came back and are having fun again. Best of luck with your restorations!

Thanks

Thanks guys for the kind words. Yeah I have read many of Andrews posts, he seems very very talented and shares a lot of knowledge. That will be way useful when I start to renovate my WG6100. And also many other people on these forums are very knowledgeable!
Cheers // Fredrik

Välkommen tillbaka in i denna hobby och lycka till med dina projekt! (which in english is (as you probably guessed already); "welcome back into this hobby and good luck with your projects")! :)

You have 3 really classic games - nice! In fact all 3 classics you have is "kit-able" and will enhance the experience a lot, especially Multipede.

I am late to this Party but Välkommen Fritte!
Are you on the Swedish forum aswell?

Regarding the double city names I think it has something to do with that we do not really use the state/county/region part when writing an adress. Mine would have been Hjo, Västra Götaland.
