New to KLOV and to arcade collecting here, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I've been collecting old consoles and handhelds for a long time and have a modest collection, mainly Nintendo and Sega systems (just about all of those consoles now), couple hundred carts in total.
This month I bought my first stand up arcade machine, a Ms Pacman (fast version) in an old Stern cabinet (pretty sure it was an Armored Car in its previous life).
It's a little beat up, but works after some basic cleaning and monitor adjustments. For a hundred bucks, I'm really happy with it. It cost more to have it shipped up from Miami, but that's what I get for selling my truck and getting a Tesla
Now I have strong urge to keep buying. I'm hoping to find a good deal on a Dragon's Lair, MK2, and maybe Donkey Kong.
My other project: Having a whole home solar system installed with a 95% offset. Video games powered by the sun... the future is awesome.
