Hello everyone! My name is Lincoln and I'm from Socal. I'm new to the arcade world as far as owning cabinets go. As of recent I've picked up four cabinets that needs work but for a really good deal. They will make great practice cabs to work on and to learn from. For now I'm working on restoring a 4 slot neo geo cab with a video ram error code and also going to restore a Crystal Castles cabinet.

Starting off, my goal is to contract arcade cabinets out locally, take the profit from that to invest in more games. Once I get enough games and experience, my main goal is to open up a place for people can bring their family and friends to eat/drink, play arcade games, pool, hang out, listen to music, and enjoy themselves.

I was born in 88 so most of my arcade experience was playing games from the 90's. Though with that said, I have to say the games that impressed me the most and are my favorite is Tempest and Championship Sprint.

Welcome to the forum!

A bunch of us collectors typically meet up weekends @ 2084 Arcade in Anaheim, you should drop by, introduce yourself and play some games!

Welcome to klov.

If I were going to do that I would talk to people who already done that. Look at the capital out lay and see what kind of profit you expect to get back.

Owning a bar is hard work in by it self.
Owning a restaurant is hard work by itself.
Owning an arcade is hard work.

No I am not saying dont do it. I just want to make sure you have your e eyes wide open.

Thanks everyone for the welcome :) 2084 looks like a nice arcade. I visit Anaheim about 2-3 times a year so I'll be sure to swing by and hang out sometime!

I know running a lot of business is a lot of work as well as money but I do plan to keep things on a small scale (A nice hole in the wall if you will). Tomorrow I'll be speaking with a owner that took over a local restaurant. She plans to turn it into something similar to my idea so I'll definitely learn all I can from her. We are working out a contract to put some arcade games in her business so everything is working out good so far :) At the very worst, I'll end up with a little arcade collection myself.

I'll keep that in mind but on the same note, there must be something odd about that town. Anything is possible anymore I suppose. However I have two poorly ran local arcades (I live out in the middle of no where). There are arcades in Anaheim, LA, Ventura, Victorville, etc. They are all over the place.

It sounds to me somebody was upset (for whatever silly reason) about Arcade Heroes, that knew somebody that could make a issue about it. Which is crap.
