Greetings. My name is Tommy. I am a long time arcade/gaming fan going all the way back to the days of the Atari 2600 and when "old school" arcades were the places I just loved spend every waking minute and every last quarter.
I retired from active duty (USAF) 2 years ago and have been looking to begin a lifelong dream of having my own personal arcade in my home, my wife recently gave me the green light to begin the project so here I am. Since I am currently unemployed and on disability I can only spend so much for these old games so I am hoping to find some good deals or at least some leads to get the project started.
The games I wish to have most are (in no particular order!) Tron, Gorf, Star Wars, Centipede, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Dragon's Lair, Galaga, frogger, robotron, or at the very least get a real nice multi-arcade machine with all these games on it would be pretty darn cool.
I have never in my life refurbished or restored or for that matter built anything, especially not electronic or computerized, but I look forward to the challenge of trying to figure all that kind of stuff out, hopefully with a little help from the experts here on these forums.
I am looking forward to hearing from you all, I thank you very much for having me.
Cheers!
