Hey everyone, I'm a relatively new member and I'd thought introduce myself.

I'm an artist and I enjoy making pottery and sculptures at my home studio.
I also love illustrating and painting with watercolors.

But my greatest hobby is video games.
My whole life it became more and more apparent to me how much I love them.
I started collecting video games when I got older and I now have a large collection of almost every Nintendo console and handheld that has hit the market. Among many other games.

About 2 years ago I came across someones blog about restoring a Donkey Kong arcade machine.
At that point I though, "gee, it sure would be awesome to have one of those" because there really is nothing like the original Donkey Kong arcade machine.

After that it became my dream to own one.
So I set off to search the web for sellers.
I tried Craigs List, eBay, and just Google.
While looking I came across this forum.
Many of my questions were answered by reading old threads, so, took it upon myself to bookmark this site.

I learned how important it was to have all the machines original parts.
So after checking eBay a while I found a seller who had a machine with almost all the original parts!
Nintendo joystick, buttons, marquee, art, etc.
But such a hefty price tag was difficult for me to afford, being only 20 years old at the time.

But after some serious saving and fund raising I was able to make the $1200
So I had it freight shipped to me and it was a very memorable day of my life.
And that's how I ended up here!
It wasn't until later that I became a member.

Since then I have also bought a Playchoice 10 and plenty of games :)
But I'll always love my Donkey Kong and continue to use this great forum.

Welcome New Yorker from a nearby neighbor....
Love me some Crif Dogs - you know it?

My advice is get a house with at least 2 car garage, 3 would be better. Or a house with walk out basement.

My setup is in the garage, she still gets her SUV in every night on her sideand my side is strewn with games right now.

I'd love to take over our sunroom instead but the wife has really put her foot down....
