Hi all! I just found this forum. I have wonderful memories of an arcade on Long Island called "Our Place" when I was growing up.

I'm a computer programmer by trade, and I enjoy restoring vintage computers. I've also collected & restored several older pinball machines, and I'd like to get into restoring arcade games.

The pinball machines I currently have are Demolition Man, Lord of the Rings, and Last Action Hero. I've also got a MAME cabinet that I built.

I'm looking for my first real arcade cabinet, a project machine ideally. I'd love to find a dead or empty Rally-X to work on.

Welcome. Fellow PA person here. There are tons of games floating around in PA. A lot of collectors too. Just have some patience and keep watching and you'll find the Rally X at a good price.

Welcome! PA here too as well (Berks County). Hopefully you know about the Allentown Pinball Festival in May every year, that's a great place to buy/sell pins and vids too. I've found all of my machines in the listings here on KLOV and an Facebook marketplace. There are a lot of collectors in Eastern PA and NJ, so there's always stuff for sale.

Thanks! I've been to PinFest in Allentown twice. That's where I got my pinball machines. I feel like there must be something similar for video arcade machines, but I haven't found it yet.

Welcome from York Haven, PA. Large collector here as well! Let me know what you're looking for, as a buddy of mine and I have about 300 arcade cabinets here locally.

There is also the White Rose Gameroom Show in York. Mostly Pinball but we've been trying to get more video game collectors involved with it for years.

Welcome from Southern California!

You are getting into arcade cabs at the right time as the prices are way down from a few years ago.

Thanks! Maybe a dumb question, but how do you find out what market price is for a given arcade cab? For pinball machines, Pinside tracks prices on the site over time... Is there a similar tool for arcade cabs?

However, I would strongly recommend that you take these guides with a grain of salt. I peek at these guides every now and again but in my opinion, they are not the "end all, be all" exact price that everyone pays all the time.

I tell this to everyone that asks: The price you are willing to buy (or sell) a game is entirely up to you.

I would list what you're looking for in the wanted section as a lot of games have been selling way below guide prices lately.

That's an amazing collection! I'm looking to buy an empty or dead Rally-X cabinet to take on as a project. Ideally empty. And I want to meet other collectors in this area as well.
