I've been a "tinkerer" with electronics all my life. Also enjoyed video games from pong on. Currently have a Pacman, Centipede, Robotron (still one of my favorites) and an X-files pin. I've ported a couple game boards to FPGA's starting about 16 years ago with Pacman. Just finished a Robotron in Verilog in an Altera CycloneV (I know others have done it, I did it just to learn). My latest project is porting Exidy's Death Race into an FPGA. If anyone has a Death Race board for sale working or not please let me know. I've found what I think are a few errors in the schematic and would be great to verify on actual hardware.

Good to see new AZ people on the forums.
Theres a really great group of local collectors out here.
Welcome :)

I'll check it out. I saw the posts on the recent "repair party" over in Banning. Looked like fun other than the "no AC" issue. I'm in Chandler/East Valley. I Travel between AZ and SOCAL pretty often and used to attend the Super Auctions in Fullerton pretty regularly until they sort of tapered off the frequency. I've been kinda "off the scene" for a few years other than enjoying/maintaining the few games I have.

Cool! I'm in Chandler as well. Let me know if you want to get together and talk shop some time.

Welcome! Used to live in Scottsdale from 78-81. I remember the arcades back then had rows of the same kind of machine line up back then. Every 7-11 or Circle K & the mom and pop pizza places all had video games in them. Ah the good old days...lol
When I moved back to Chi-town, Mom lived off of Alma School & Ray road behind the old Bashas.....

Hi.

If you haven't already, you'll meet me at some point. :D

Yeah, Brien's / AZ Arcade Parties are the shizz.

I hope to get the the other 20 ton soon..

I wonder if we should initiate James with sever bucks of cold water.
James is our go to guy for air currently!

So your more than welcome to show up at the next banning arcade repair party.

If you have no extra arcade parts to bring Extra beer!. There a good reason why it a sleep over event. Smiles.

Welcome to KLOV
