Hey everyone, I'm John from England. I've been obsessed with arcade gaming since I was a kid, and love to build my own cabs as a hobby. I've made a few based around the 60-in-1 board, but my last build was a Shinobi reproduction running a pre system-16 PCB I picked up a few years back. Unfortunately the board died after about six months, so I'm looking to meet like-minded people here who can help share information and tips on how to keep these old games running!

Hey John, I love Shinobi. It was my 2nd Sega 16 game after Altered Beast. I then purchased Golden Axe, ESWAT and Aurail PCBs that I could switch in and out of my Sega 16 cabinet. Now I think they have the Sega 16 multi kit., which I really should purchase so I can have all these games on one PCB.

Welcome John!
What part of the England are you from? When I think arcade games and UK, I think Electrocoin. Would absolutely love a Goliath for my collection.

Yeah that sounds pretty cool to have all of those on one board. Played Golden Axe and Altered Beast so much back in the day

I'm from the North East. Yeah I don't really remember many dedicated cabs back in the day, I guess it was expensive to ship cabinets around the world so we just ended up with generic Electrocoins as you mention. I've been to a few game shows where there has been many Goliaths all in a row, very nostalgic!

Nice! I'll be over in late May for a weekend in the East Midlands before heading east to Poland and Germany. That will be the furthest North I'll have ever been!

If you haven't already, check out Arcade Archive on Youtube. Physical location in Gloucestershire

Where did you find the bezel for Shinobi?
