As the title says, I am new to the forums. I just bought my first arcade cabinet (Pac-Man) to start restoring. I am sure I will have a lot of questions because I am totally new to this. Anyways, hello and I look forward to hanging around.

My favorite quote below, get ready to buy a few more...

Welcome to the KLOV. You've stumbled upon a great community of gaming geeks with a wealth of arcade resources to get your addiction off in the right direction.

We even have a Phet.

You will probably have 20 games in about 8 months with more deals on the horizon. Maybe even a storage unit.

We wish you well.

Welcome to KLOV. I joined about a year and half ago when I got a machine and needed technical help. I took that opportunity to steal your username at that same time.

These forums have been a great resource. Nearly any issue you might run into has an answer here.

You found a great place to get help, make friends and BS. Pac-Man is a great starter game. Not only is it a solid classic (perhaps the most well know) but it is very well documented. If you have any kind of problem with it, it has most likely been described in detail with a reliable fix on the net somewhere. There is also probably someone here who has dealt with anything that you might encounter. Congrats on getting your first game and on it being the greatest one there is (IMHO). BTW, I've had mine for 8 years, Ms. Pac as well.

Thank you, everyone! I really look forward to getting to know people and learning. I will post some pictures when I get them.

I am already planning my next game! I want a Galaga cabinet. Having that would complete my two MUST haves games (and maybe Time Traveler). Who am I kidding? I want tons of different games; I just have to see how my wife feels about that.

Hello! This is a great and helpful arcade community. As soon as you think you're done with one game, another deal for one will appear...like magic! :D Welcome to the sickness. You're not alone.

Welcome, but do yourself a favor and don't even start. It's like smoking. It's expensive and a dirty nasty habit that you can't stop once you start. It's hazardous to your health (dropping machines on yourself, pulling ribs slip discs and such). It's terrible for your "chi".

If you are unable to comprehend my warning - then do yourself a favor and use the search engine. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about.
And the most important lesson is don;t buy every cheap game you can get your hands on. You will find you either don't like the game or it'll be in such a state of despair you'll spend more money that it's worth to fix. These machines are not investments and shouldn't be treated as such. Most likely you will lose money. Once again - refer to the search engine.
