Hey guys!

I haven't been here in a while .. school, work, and moving sort of put my arcade collecting on hold unfortunately. I just moved into a studio but even with the limited space I found a perfect spot for a cocktail. I need something that has controls on each of the narrow ends so Galaga naturally came to mind. Its going to double as a kitchen table so the more space the better which led me to consider a Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class Of 1981 cocktail .. so my question is ..

What does a Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class Of 1981 cocktail go for now adays? And, would around $500 be fair for a nice original Galaga cocktail?

Thanks for any help! Ryan

Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class Of 1981 cocktail $1500
Galaga cocktail $650-$800

Thanks! If anybody has either for sale let me know! Ryan

Ended up snagging a Galaga CT on Tuesday fortunately. It need new glass/underlay. Anybody know what the difference is between Two-Bits and Phoenix besides the fact that Phoenix is printed on the glass (something I actually prefer but curious about other differences too).

I would go with a Phoniex Arcade glass.. You cant go wrong with his products...

Quality!!!

Trying to justify the extra $$ in my tiny budget ... I am sure the glass is going to look fantastic (Darin does awesome work) but it is going to cost about half of what I paid for the machine!

it's always nice when you know how much you will need to put into a machine after you own it, before you buy it.

it's not only good for a budget, but also helps you negotiate a fair price.

Not to worry .. the game is well worth what I paid in its current state :)

Personally if it was me. I would put the money in the bank, and sell a few parts or whatever to get the phoniex glass.. If its a machine your going to keep you will thank yourself many times over in the future.. JMO!!!

On the TwoBit vs Phoenix thing...

TwoBit's art doesn't look as much like the original, the art/fonts on most of their stuff is WAY off. Colors won't be as accurate. Will have a Namco copyright on it. And of course the original way these were made was with a screened glass.

Phoenix stuff will have really close art/fonts/colors (may have even used original films, but no idea). Midway copyrights. Just an overall excellent product.

I also think that the TwoBit stuff is a bit of a pain to get clean and line up when sticking the glass top and clips back on. It might last longer, but that is debatable.

If it is going on your 'kitchen table' however cheaper might turn out to be better. If you ruin it over time by putting hot/cold items on it it won't be as big a loss.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! Really appreciate it .. just wasn't sure what the major differences were. The game is a keeper so Phoenix it is :)

Thanks guys, I just needed a little moral support .. I am convinced .. Phoenix it is!

Cant wait to see pics!!! Galaga is one of my favorite Cocktails...

Here she is currently. A good players machine but I want a showpiece so she is going to get the full treatment. :)
