So there is this auction here in Visalia where I'm visiting. It's not an arcade auction but they have a Neo Geo 1 slot and a Virta Striker 2 (ver 2000). Both are kinda thrashed. But I'm thinking I'll head over just to see what they go for. The VS2 works but it's missing joysticks. Hmmmmm. I'm not planning to bid. Don't have a way to get them home and not sure I'd want them anyway. I hear they have been auctioning games there recently...

The VS sold for $100. The Neo Geo didn't sell and will probably be sold next week. There was also a Rowe/AMI CD Jukebox that looked fairly nice. It was big. Turned on and looked pretty but the guy said he couldn't get it to play. It sold for $125 I think. Apparently they have been selling a jukebox every week or two for the last few months. I can get the info if anyone is interested. Thanks for listening.

Hey! I'm in Visalia! What on Earth are you doing visiting here? ;) J/K - Visalia's not that bad. I haven't been to that auction in awhile - every time I've been there in the past they never had anything arcade related... but you're right, I've heard that they have been selling games there. My brother goes all the time, he said they had a Tapper there several months ago, but he couldn't remember how much it went for (my responce was "thanks for telling me NOW..."). Gregatron - it's located just north of the intersection of Ben Maddox and Cain. Heres a link to there website:

I'm here visiting my folks. It's a tradition to go to the auction whenever I'm down this way. The same thing happened with my dad....when I got here he told me they have been selling arcade stuff lately and I'm like...what? Why didn't you tell me? Anyway, it all looks like it's leftovers from another auction. They had stickers from "Nelson's auctions" or something like that. And they are all pretty bad condition. So I'm guessing it's all stuff that didn't sell there that they decided to unload this way.

But I could be wrong...if they had a Tapper then that sounds like there could be some classics in the mix. My dad doesn't remember any exact names of what has sold. Anyway, it's kind of a fun auctiion. Lot's of tools, air compressors, furniture, weird oddball items, appliances, and whatnot. Plus they often have drug siezed vehicles that are pretty nice. Althought they often have way to many "do dads" on them. I guess the kids call it "bling" now.
