Heading out on a pick up

Just head out without helpers and ask if the seller will help you load. Figure out the logistics of unloading later :)

I have now done three of them, where I didn't really have anyone to help me unload. As I pull up close to home I start making calls. So far I haven't had any issue. It helps though, that all of the cabinets so far have only required two people and I can enter in directly, so no stairs to navigate.

It helps one of my friends owns a dolly (I really should purchase one. It would make things easier.

yes but my helpers have the only truck lol

ahh I see, that does put a hamper on things :) I have just been renting a truck on a day-to-day basis. The downside, I have to go pick it up, drop it off, and the whole process usually ends up costing about 50-100$ and about 1.5 hours of time.

A. I have a Tundra with a 6 foot bed.
B. If it's more than 1 game, I WILL grab a home depot trailer. Best 27 bucks you can spend IMO, and it's good for 24 hours. Easily load 6 games into one, if not 8.
C. First thing I did when going on my first multi-cab pick up was buy my own hand truck. Definitely a must-have!

So I'm home with the goods. Turns out the deal was with a fellow KLOV member. Here's three new additions to the growing arcade! Tempest & Milli run & have super nice monitors. Space Duel doesn't run atm, but again, monitor looks very nice. Going down to mess with them now, after a late lunch.

Found the Tempest listing on Ebay out of Winder, GA. Saw there were 2 other cabs listed so I made an offer on all three: Tempest, Space Duel and Millipede.

SD is pretty sweet condition wise but isn't working...I'll start investigating soon. Voltages look good from a quick check, so that's a good start at least. And it's cab #712, not that that matters, but it's neat!

Tempest has such a sweet screen!

I can load up to 7 uprights onto my flatbed with no help at all (I will be about to pass out by the time I am done though). However I can't get the 8th one into place without help.

The side art on both SD and Tempest really pop. They look very clean. Great pick up. I miss my old SD.
