im finally able to make a trip to funspot this year and was wondering what other attractions are nearby? what hotels/lodges would be best?
is summer a good time to go?

Definately summer although it could be a little busy, everything other than FS is more or less closed during the winter.

As far as what's worth seeing aside from FS I'm curious myself as I only started going there this winter, so I'm anxious to know too.

I would try and go in late May/early June the week after Memorial Day for the ACAM tournament. Fun times!

Even though I have yet to go there (this Summer will be my first time), it's a cool tourist-trap type place. Lake Winnipesaukee is right there, so there are many lake/resort type activities. I also hear there's a drive-in movie theater not too far away and a ropes course called Monkey Trunks (I think). A really cool "old school"/1950s-60s era type fun vacation. I've just been waiting for my kids to get a little older to enjoy in the fun!

funspot..

has anyone transported a game via train?
i would think there is a cargo box of some kind...
this is a well deserved trip. for those that don't know me, i've given several years of my life as a caregiver.

funspot...

not sure just yet, but still want to go. i started a new job right after my old one and may have to hold off a bit...
