Now, I currently have 5 games installed.
NBA Jam TE
TMNT
The Simpsons
WWF Wrestlefest
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
For each of the games, to make the 3rd and 4th player controls work, you need to add kick harnesses. Konami games like The Simpsons and TMNT have several dealers that actually make them like Bob Roberts and jammaboards.com (where I got the switcher from), and I also got the Wrestlefest harnesses from jammaboards as well.

These harnesses plug into the 3rd and 4th player connectors on the boards, and each wire will go to the corresponding 3rd and 4th player buttons. This can start to get really tricky when you have 5 or 6 sets of wires going to the same buttons. My solution wasn't the neatest, but the easiest. I bought a ton of 1:3 wire splitters from jammaboards:

I just kept adding them until I had enough, and ended up with this!
It looks awful, but I can't think of an easier way to do it. I could make my own 6:1 splitters, but that's wasting too much time for me. It's not as daunting as you think, but looks overwhelming...the wires from jammaboards come labeled, so that helps a lot.
Another issue you get with these switchers is feedback on the 3rd and 4th player kick harnesses from the other games. In other words, you'll be playing TMNT and it'll start coining up randomly. To correct that, you need to place diodes in line for each of the wires for each harness, so that you get something that looks like this:
I made my own "jig" to help hold the wires in place while I was soldering:
I've found that I didn't need to do them for my Konami games...TMNT and The Simpsons. I don't know why, but they seem to work okay. Wrestlefest was very finicky and needed diodes for everything. Also be careful because with this rat's nest of wires, they can touch each other and give false connections. I ended up wrapping each of my connections with electrical tape and that seemed to solve the problem.
The only other issue I ran into was the 3rd player harness for Moonwalker. Nobody makes a harness for it, so I had to do it myself. I followed the schematics, ordered some wire and connectors from Bob Roberts and made my own harness:
I didn't buy the proprietary crimping pliers, but managed with just needle nose pliers. It takes a little longer, but for 1 harness, it's fine. The only other thing I had to do with Moonwalker was to add the "resurrection" kit to bulletproof the board. There's a suicide processor that dies over the years and renders the board useless. By swapping out a few parts, it can live on. I used
http://www.segaresurrection.com/ for the chips...I think it was like $45 shipped from New Zealand. I guess it could be done for cheaper, but I don't usually worry about saving $10...I like easy!
