I did a cpu check and came back ok check everthing else I think...everytime I go to credit machine I here a bell ringing..I don't know what that means, but I cannot get to play...all lights come on andeverthing seems to work on it...it flashes score or somethink like a score...if all possible need a little help fixing this...

look at pictures:

I took a picture of the backlight to show you what was coming up when I turm it on is the numbers in player 1 spot suppose to be that or zero...and I took a picture of the main board where the test switch is...is the led suppose to be off or on...when I turn on machine and put test switch it comes on for a second or 2 and then shuts off like shown in picture..I didn't know if the led light is suppose to be on or off like that... I did notice when I put it into test mode the flipper did not move could that be another problem too...the third and forth pictures are when I turn machine on and off twice this is what shows up on backlight... first its zero like in picture and then it flashes to 2100000and 4000000 and keep on doing that...

IIRC, the bell ringing is the credit indicator...it's supposed to do that. It lets you know a coin was just deposited. Do you have the correct amount of balls in the machine? It won't start without all the balls installed. If all the balls are present...you could have a bad trough switch.

How many balls are suppose to be in it and where at...I am not sure on that one...I did not get a manual for it...Is there anyway to reset it to factory settings..like push a couple of buttons and it resets itself or do I have to go thru a series of steps to be able to reset it...

First off...read that manual. The test switch is on the inside of the coin door. The button you are pushing is the CPU diagnostic switch. The test switch is the one you use to enter test modes, set to factory defaults, etc.

I wanted to know if the led light is suppose to be on, if it is then I would assume the board is bad..that is why I was asking that...I did read the manual where it talks about setting it up to factory...but I am sorry for the dumb question am new at this...never done this before wanting to learn...I did use the buttons on the coin door...I really don't understand part of what it is saying for when I think I am doing it right its not what I am wanting it to do...when I do that I don't know if I am resetting it or just messing it up more.. it don't seem to help any...and when it tells me to change the number in the player 1 box...I cant get it to change in some cases, and that goes for when it asks me to change something in another players box too...could somebody explain how to do that for me...

It seems like you may have battery problem. Put 3 new batteries in and make sure they positioned correctly. That is why you are getting those strange numbers when you first power up. The machine will automatically revert to factory settings whenever batteries are removed.

I put new batteries in it...and now when I turn it on none of the lights on the backlight comes on and its making noise, which in turn is coming out of the speakers...what happened..would this not work if the silinoids to the flipper not work..I looked underneath and they look like they have been burned up and not the main mpu board but the driver board looks like it burned up where the 40 pin is in the center and a couple of other places on the board too...could that be why all of this is not working, becouse the driver board is bad...

If a coil looks burnt...it's probably bad. At some point it's probably overheated. It will need to be replaced. A burnt coil can/will cause fuses to blow. And for that 40-pin connector....that's a notorious problem area for Williams pins. Anytime I get a Williams pin in the shop for repair, if that 40-pin connector hasn't been replaced, it is the first thing I replace. Even if it looks good, it can still be the cause of issues. I replace both sides...the header side and the housing side.

Oh yeah, the batteries should have nothing to do with your GI lighting. I'd check for a blown fuse or burnt up connectors (or both) in the GI circuit.

You bought that Firepower2 in Greenwood. It was just down the road from me. He kept saying the "tilt" was bad? Supposedly this started after he moved it.... All I really remember was the power board was hacked. I would start with the 40 pin interconnector. Good luck that was one rough machine.
