so I had my game on, I wasnt playing it and i noticed that the demo on the attract mode looked funny. I powered it off and back on hoping for a miracle but, same thing. I tried adjusting all the adjustments on the monitor (its a 50" rear projection mitsubishi monitor) and it didnt correct it. Does anyone know anything about these? I dont think its the t.v. because as you see there doesnt seem to be a problem anywhere except for when the game is running. The tittle screen, sega screen, rating screen etc look fine. any ideas???
This thing is a beast and in my living room, My wife wasnt to cool about it until she saw how much me and my son played but with it broke and taking up a quater of our living room her patience is wearing thin.

here is a short video.

Never touched one of these before. Much less there isn't much data on it in the KLOV listings either. Judging from the slight graphical errors that only seem to be present when the game is panning across action scenes its probably some type of hardware failure in the game system itself.

I dunno if this thing uses a typical socketed ROM board, cartridge, or disc unit to read data but you should probably check to see if anything may be loose. Re-seat any ROM chips, inspect the board for any defects, and also run a check on the power supply. If it uses a Disc, clean it or if it's a cartridge, remove it and clean pins and re-seat it firmly back in it's place.

Best suggestion, hit us up with some pictures of what the game unit looks like. I'll see if I can hit anything up on google about this.

yeah, looks like a hardware failure.

Does it pass all the built-in diagnostics?

Yes is passe's all of them on screen, and i to dont know anything about these havent had it long. I checked all the plugs i had to plug in but havent drilled any locks yet to look inside. Im pretty sure it has a board in it though.

I think that's just a intialization. And it's a Model 3 system, so it uses seated ROM chips on a typical PCB like layout.

First before removing it or any cables lets run a diagnostics in the Test Menu.
If you can locate the Test Menu button, it should be behind the coin door.

Make sure the unit is on running in its attract mode.
Press the Test button and the Test Menu should open.
Use the Service button to navigate and the Test button to select.

Select the option "Memory Test"
This will run a test on the ROMs and Available RAM to see if anything is astray.
The screen may flip out during this test, but that is typical so don't fret it.

Write us back any results and we can probably help you from there.

Edit:eek:h and heads up, Sauservice site has a copy of the manual http://www.sauservice.com/manuals/LAGUNS_html/lagunstoc.html

Yeah, I might suggest it. Lol I had to drill throuh my locks on my Virtual On setup, only had keys for the coin mech and bank. If its like anything like the locks on mine it may be a little annoying to get them off at first unless you got a bit bigger than 5/8ths
