This guy is off his rocker!! Non collectors would fall for something this dumb but it''s insane that you can buy these games in working condition for the cost of renting for two days from him. His prices are completely out of this world not to mention being unproffesional by bashing on another business.

There is a massive market for this, The big arcade reseller I know actually does this for games and jukeboxes. I remember him telling me he would rent this super oldschool vinyl jokebox with old days italian songs for 700$ a day; they were always rented out for big events for the italian community.

The key there was the collection of impossible to find songs, but still.. Its a good business idea!.. Look at least the guy isnt taking old cabs, touching them up, putting a 60-in-1 cab and selling them for 1500$ like some klovers do.

I really don't see anything wrong with it. People charge that much for those stupid bounce house rentals. Even though people could buy them for that much, most people don't know that (the general public thinks these games go for thousands), nor would they want something that large permanently in their home. Go try to rent something from Home Depot for 4 hours and see what that runs ya! Kudos to the guy for trying to find a niche market.

The way I read it, They bring all of those games for $250.
If that is the case, seems more than fair to me.
If it is per game then yeah, pretty stupid.

Gotta factor in the cost of moving and setup. Ever hired a moving company? It's surprisingly expensive for unskilled labor. If he'll truck 16 games out for a day for $250, that's not bad.

$250 seems like a good price. These things cost a lot of money to buy. :)

You guys see his warranty?

Once it leaves our possession we can no longer be responsible and we offer no guarantee after that.

Why not just say.....Warranty: There is none

Basically if something goes wrong you will not offer repair or phone tech? Not even for 30 days? That would not make me want to buy a game if I were not a collector. Who the hell am I supposed to call to fix it?? lol

sorry guys, read the 1st line

NEXT TIME YOU HAVE A PARTY, EVENT, BARMITZVA, WEDDING, CORPORTATE EVENT, WHY NOT RENT ONE OF OUR CLASSIC ARCADE MACHINES?

thats for 1 game, not all of them. Hmm, i have half the games on that list and didnt give over 250 for any of them:rolleyes:

Well, chalk that up to poor wording. As Logical Psy pointed out earlier, he mentions "All" of the games several times in the article. You're right. 250 a day for one game is outrageous, but that's fitting with his generally outrageous machine prices. I also don't like it when people bash other vendors or manufacturers in their adds, and he straight-up calls out arcade-classics (eXedy, who is a friend of mine) as garbage on his web page. Not cool at all.

I was going to rent out my Sportstation for Superbowl weekend. I was asking $250 a day. I figured by the time I delivered game set it up and then come pick it back up that would be a fair rate. Plus the fact that I was taking the chance of my machine getting messed up by them or in route. Needless to say no one responded to my ad!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Whenever I see sell prices that high, I always have the same conversation:

"Say, you sell Centipedes for $1800, right? I've got one I'll let you have for $800."

"Heh, no thanks buddy. I can buy Centipedes for $400 all day long."

"Good for you. Check this out: my cell phone has a `microphone record' app on it. Listen - see? That's your voice. Sounds funny, huh? Excuse me, I've gotta go upload this to a web site..."
