Having a Bad Day? Revisit an Old Friend

It's interesting how the person's voice changes over the six years these were made, if indeed it was the same person.

I think the most iconic sounds of the golden age were the "free life" music in Centipede and the "game start" music, walking and jumping sounds, and "loss of life" tune in Donkey Kong.

Wow, if I could put my ear up to a black hole and listen to 30 years ago, that's what it would sound like.

AWESOME.

Thanks, Phet.

I have been listening to the recorded arcade sounds all day, and, much like Fritz with his nose far up a lumberjack's knot hole, I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face. Try it.

I'd love to check it out, but, I'm at my work box, anduh...well........

VERY cool and I'm glad I"m not the only one crazy enough to have an idea like this. I wrestled from 3rd on all the way through high school, and even still get into "Old Timers" tournaments now and then. My wife and I are trying to have a kid and I'd like to record the ambient sound from a wrestling tournament and playback on her belly while she is preggers. Yea I know, I'm demented!
