Have you ever???

I have never called someone like that, but I can see where they are coming from.

This sort of person works off of "oppertunity". They post "wanted" ads rather than try to talk down someone that has their game listed. When people call them, they have a reason to call them. They want it sold, moved now, need cash, etc. The oppertunity presents itself, and depending on the callers situation, the buyer is able to swing in with cash in hand and look like someone that is there to help.

The seller is happy with the convenience and ease of not having to list their items. The buyer is happy because they got a game for cheap. Granted, the buyer is flipping the machines without any work done to it, just to increase their profit margin.

I hate to come to these people's defense, but spend some time watching "Pawn Stars", "American Pickers", "Hardcore Pawn" and you'll begin to understand. Typically, shows like these will demonstrate the "know-what-its-worth, buy at 1/3 cost, resell for 200% profit".

Shady as we all feel about this type of practice, it's not going to go away, and chances are it will get worse. I've thought about making those type of ads, not to resell, but to boost my personal collection on the cheap.
