Have you ever said, "I have enough machines"?

I was thinking of getting "just one more" cabinet, but then thought that if I had that one extra game, the arcade would looked cramped/cluttered. As it is, seven games in a small bedroom space is really solid. Maybe a caberet one day, but nothing more than that. Have you ever said "screw it" to that one extra piece?

Just when you say I got enough, some grail pops up at a good price. You grab it than on the drive on the way home you try to figure out where do you put it. Laughs

My gameroom was full a couple of months ago, then I decided to sell off most of my tools so I could use the whole garage for a gameroom. That game me theoretical space for 10 more games, but I think 20 games would make it too cramped. I just brought 2 more home, so I am at 14. One of them was bought (Missile Command) to keep it from getting parted, and it will hopefully be finding a home soon. I think I can fit one more before it starts feeling too full. I am going to add three wall games, so I will have 18. That is pretty close to the 20 I planned for. When I planned for 20, I didn't take into account how much room the pins would take. 4 pins and 2 Hydro Thunders really limits what you can fit. :)

i am ready to sell everything off and just keep 2 or 3 machines. Pac, Missile command and food fight. THe rest can go. Tired of storing them all, no room to set up and play anything.

yup......and then someone offered me a sega turbo cockpit with pole position pcb conversion and i couldnt resist another restoration project

yeah I think im way over my sensible number of machines for size of house, when I have machines stored in the hallway, in front of of the main door hallway, throughout the living, dining rooms and starting to again fill up the garage, but yet I still seem to find the space for that extra one :) and then had off site storage for a while (on location) but they came back, so im maxed out right now

Its a great hobby thou!

I am very nearly at a saturation point myself. I have a fairly large area to set up my games in (40' by 50') and I am really at capacity in this space. There are a few more games I want to pick up but I don't want to overcrowd, so I am considering getting rid of some games.

My current plan is to complete as many projects as I can this year and get them into the line-up. Then I'll continue to play games and I'll host a few parties, some for collectors and some for other groups of people. Once I see what gets played and what gets ignored it'll be easier for me to decide what to get rid of when it is time for a new acquisition.

You PUSSY...............

I'm trying to limit myself to 3 machines, both in that my wife will not likely let me have more, and I have only a super super small area to put them sadly.

These rules will probably get broken though. ;)

That's when it's time to quit your day job and open an arcade...

What a dream come true. I have often thought about opening a pub/pizza/arcade hybrid, but honestly, I think about all of those drunk dumbasses getting their greasy fingers all over my cabinets and it sickens me.

I have 28, soon (possibly) to be 30. I could probably get away with 31-32, but then power starts becoming an issue. If I ever go over 30, it'll be only a temporary thing until I sell/trade something.

It's always the balance of maximizing usage of space without things feeling cramped.
All those years of playing Tetris are paying off...

BLASPHEMER!!!! HOW DARE YOU SULLY THE ARCADE HOBBY WITH YOUR MILQUETOASTISH ATTITUTE.

(yes. I frequently feel my arcade is done... and then I sell off a couple and buy 2 more and then buy 3 more and then sell 4 off, etc. etc.)

I'm fairly new to this site. I posted a couple months ago. I am looking for parts for a Midnight Marauders game. I've noticed that you seem to be pretty well versed in this business & was hoping you or anyone else out there could give me some idea of where to look. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have my girlfriend's basement nearly full. I had to move the washer and dryer over about a foot to put in another pinball. I do not know what to do if another opportunity presents itself, but I will cross that bridge when it comes.
