Might sound crazy, but is there any reason why the drop targets in the upper playfield would be locked? After playing a little a bit, I noticed sometimes they are locked in the up position. I'm thinking the coil is locking on, and after I checked in the back box only some of the ground mods were not done. This is not a gameplay thing correct?

if any coil is locked on more than likely i would say it is that a transistor has failed or a coil switch is stuck energizing it.if game is left on the coil will fry

yeah, i am not turning it back on until I find the problem. I will dive into it tonight to see what it is. I hope its just a miss-adjusted switch to make it easy.

Looked into it tonight. Seems the coil locks on after the game has been on for a bit...so it does sound like a transistor, correct?

Update on this problem. I replaced transistors Q61 and Q62 on the driver board. The transistors were hard to find, but thanks to HHaase recommending Big Daddy Enterprises, I finally got 'em, installed them and everything works perfectly. Glad I solved that problem, now I can finally play a bit. Thanks.
