I found a Haunted House Pinball that has been completely shopped out from top to bottom.
The play field has minor wear spots around the bumpers other than that it plays and sounds good. He wants $1800.00 firm he will not come down. The 2011 pinball guide list it at $1400.00. Is what he's asking a fair price for being shopped?

I wouldn't pay more than $1,200. Saw a REALLY nice one that was in great shape but would not coin up at an auction last November. It was bid to only $600, but I think that it was a "no sale" at that price...

I agree with 1,200. I wouldn't have buyer's remorse at 1,200 if it had all the appropriate rebuilds/mods and was in really nice shape. If I really wanted a HH and it was pristine, an extra 200 wouldn't deter me. An extra 600 would.

I would not spend to much time worring about the price being slightly over 'price guide'. Pay what you are willing to pay. If you dont buy it I have someone who would be willing to play that for a nice one. Do you have contact information?

Re: HH

I posted this in another thread I thought this was the wrong section. (Anyhow seeing I had some replies.) I did buy the HH, My final offer was $1700. It sounds and plays great coils, flippers, rubbers, lights, some plastics replaced, and waxed playfield He wanted to make room for other pinballs is why he was selling this. I usually ask these questions just to satisfy my curiosity.

Looks pretty nice! If you've got the cash, and it's not going to "break" the bank, and you're happy with what you bought, then sleep well tonight and don't think twice about it. I've always loved the theme of that pin.
