Ok I appear to be getting my first pin tonite.

Jokerz 1988

looks like it's in good shape and the price is right.
Is it a pain in the ass to get the legs off and on?
I have a truck with a shell on it, and I don't think it will load up
with the legs attatched.

It's not too bad to get the legs off. Eight bolts. The head should fold down on that game. Take the balls out of the game. Fold the head down, strap it to the game. Prop the back end up on a bar stool and take the back two legs off first. Then set it up on it's back and pull the front two leggs off and set it on the hand truck.

It's always a good idea as pinball machines have a high center of gravity when they are on their legs. They tip over a lot easier than you would think.

Always remove the legs when possible. They are usually held on by 9/16" or 5/8" bolts, two per leg. It makes it much easier to transport with the legs off. Also, remove the balls - you don't want them crashing around in your new machine...

Or you could sit one end on the corner of the tailgate, take off two legs, slide it in, take off last two legs, finishing pushing in, go home and repeat.

that's exactly what I had intended to do.
And all you guys thought spanks was an idiot. lol just messin bud

nice, I can't wait to get this thing. about an hour till I leave to go get it.
pics up later in the main forum.

on a flat surface and head down, the pin should stand on 3 legs. I put it next to the liftgate, take off 1 rear leg, slide it partially on, take the 2nd rear leg off, then slide it all the way on and take off the last two.

I never carry a pin with the legs on. You can't seem to ratchet strap them down properly. If your not going to stand it up on end, then you can leave the balls inside th pin. But if you do plan to stand it up, pull all the loose crap out of the coin door area.

Also very important! If you moving it during the day, you need to cover the playfield. Either shove newspaper under the glass or use cardboard or a blanket. The sun can melt your ramps nd warp your plastics...

Yep, that's what I do. It's the easiest way if you have ONE machine, and you have a truck and nobody to help you :)

You guys all have good ways of removing the legs... Heres a good way to move one that most of you probably haven't seen.

Take a dolly and kick it between the back legs. Lift the game up from the front side and steer from that side. It seems like it wouldn't be safe but I do it almost every day at work. Our dolly has 2 sets of wheels on it to help out as well but this is the best way to move one by yourself. We move them with the backboxes erect and everything. Never had a problem in the YEARS they have been doing it this way.

I have a full pinball dolly at work that I just slid underneath, step on the lever, and it picks the entire thing up. Then I can push it around like a shopping cart....
