Was scouting Craigslist for local machines last night, and stumbled across a big surprise (at least for the area in which I live). I found an advertisement for a free non working Tron machine and called the number. It was around 10:15 at night, but I was too excited to wait. Call me a disrespectful asshole if you must but if I've learned one thing on these forums it's this: you've got to be all over a free machine if you plan on getting it. The woman on the phone tells me to call back early in the morning and come pick it up.
I woke up around 6:30 this morning; called at about 7:15. The woman tells me someone had already planned on getting it at 7:00 but was a no show.
From there, the race was on. My wife and I were the first to arrive but apparently not the only people who called about the machine. In fact, the owners received about 5 phone calls while my wife and I were moving the cab down a narrow rickety, dew covered staircase.
I'm definitely going to try and get this baby up and running; not sure what I will do with it after that. Although Tron has never been one of my holy grails, I really dig the look of the machine.
I plugged it in and got absolutely nothing, so I'm assuming there is a power issue at hand. Fuses and connections look good, but I only gave it a quick glance. Might need your guys' help with this
Anyways, luck was finally on my side today and I've now experienced the thrill of hunting down a free machine.
