Has anyone used https://www.electronix.com/?

Immediately after your reply, I ordered from this company. I ordered an LA7823 and an LA7831. Unfortunately, the picker was dyslexic or lazy and sent an LA7832 and LA7831 (I assume the boxes are next to each other). They arrived on Saturday 2/26. I called Electronix on Monday 2/28 and they said they would immediately send me the correct IC. The next Monday, 3/7, I called for a status. They said they shipped it and I should receive it any day. on 3/14 I called again and they said they're not sure where they sent it, and even though my original order was priority mail with a tracking number which I paid extra for, they sent this one regular post, and they can't even confirm they sent it to the right address. They told me that they had more on order, and would call me Tuesday to let me know when I would get the chip I ordered. No phone calls, no emails, I call them today and their order was placed on backorder (dude actually blamed the Japan crisis), and told me, diplomatically, that I'm SOL until they get more chips in (they don't have an ETA), or (with luck) they get the one they sent out returned to them. I asked them if I'm flagged in the system for the first one received into inventory, and he said that I'd have to call periodically to check up on it.

F*** Electronix. I will NEVER use them again. If ordering from Bob Roberts wasn't such a pain in the ass, I would have just done that originally. (BR was also considerably more expensive....about 10x)

I have ordered from them several times, never had a problem.
Sometimes they will have stuff other places don't carry and their prices for most stuff is comparable or cheaper than others.

Just letting you know what my experience was/is. They would not refund the cost of the part or the shipping.

I'd just move on man, the part was a buck fifty, you've already spent more than that in your time with them. Don't sell yourself short and don't consider it a prinpicle move, no huge company is going to see the principle involved on a buck fifty part. Your time is more valuable than that, don't waste another second of it thinking about that buck fifty.

Agreed. The part is a buck fifty, but it cost $8 to ship with a tracking number. Other than BR, I haven't found anyone else who sells this part.

You went through all that and think ordering from Bob is a pain? Email Bob, get total, Bill pay a check from your bank, get parts and eat moon pies around Mardi Gras. ;)

O.K...Yeah. I didn't KNOW I'd go through all of that. OBVIOUSLY hindsite is 20/20. I found a site, that someone recommended, that would take my card over the site, instead of having to send some specialized check and pay 7x more for it...

Obviously my BAD experience isn't valid...

Ordering from Bob Roberts is insanely easy. I email Bob - list my parts, he replies with total and then I send a check from my bank as Bob cross ships.

Bob is a one man band - of course he is going to be more expensive than a 'real' supply house.

Two things are certain when ordering from Bob:

1. The order will be shipped quickly
2. Moon Pies.

You might have better luck looking for the NTE compatible part.

nte7123

Looks like mouser has some on order and found some random site with them in stock, but you know how those can be. Looks like MCM has them. That is a big outfit if you don't want to wait for mouser.

Can anyone confirm that the NTE part will work? I've heard these K7000 Chassis' are pretty particular.

Don't see any reason why it would not work. You can cross reference parts on NTE's site. I have never had a problem when I used one of their parts when the original was hard to find. Look up the part and you can check their datasheet against the original part to make sure it meets or exceeds the original spec.

When I need an NTE part, I check the Fry's Electronics near my work since they have a very large selection of NTE parts on the shelf.

The Fry's near me doesn't carry it unfortunately. Thanks for the equal part info. I went ahead and ordered from Vetco because I needed another NTE part (506).
