Has anyone used AI to aid in repair?

I have total confidence that AI is going to revolutionize many things. No doubt in my mind. It's already made some impacts in various areas, and I think it's just getting started.

The more immediate concerns of mine are things like this -
- Is this AI boom going to lead to a market crash in the near future? At some point all the investment will have to pay off, so far I don't think it has.
- Will a lot of jobs be eliminated? Possibly, but how long will that take, what type of jobs/who is affected, and ultimately will it be a "bad thing"?
- Longer term, will AI go rogue or turn against humans and really wreck things?

I used it the other day tracking down a short on a data line. I gave it the list of chips on the data line, and it explained which one was most likely to short its data lines to ground, and why.

I replaced the chip and it was right.

They other day, however, I had a discussion with it and it insisted an 8-pin DIP package only had seven pins.

So, miliage varies.
