Has anyone tried a BW Vector power supply in a color game?

So I have a black and white asteroids Atari power brick and I'd love to use it for tempest build. Seems like it would work in theory I don't know why it wouldn't. I know it's got a different serial number but curious if anyone has tried it or knows for certain that it would or would not work. Looking up the schematics I don't really see why not unless I'm missing something

The power brick outputs to the monitor are different. The B/W vector and Raster bricks(60vCT?) are cross compatible, but the Color Vector brick(50vCT?) is it's own animal. @andrewb correct me if I'm wrong please...

I think it's possible to use a B/W-Raster brick to power the AR and Game Board, and use a Pair of 24VDC switching supplies to power the monitor @mopar5150 can fill in some blanks here.

Yes, here in Australia there is no vector gear at all.
I use a B&W brick, with an additional external 25/0/25AC transformer to provide the correct voltage for the deflection board

The 30/0/30 transformer on the brick does nothing - it's not connected
