POLL Has anyone sold an arcade game for $10k+?

I'm aware of a transaction for one cab that took place a couple years back for well over $10k.

Not my place to name names etc (sorry), but it happened.

We don't care who bought it, we just want to know what game it was!

:D

I don't really pay attention to ridiculous prices, since I'd never pay anywhere near that for a game... but I seem to remember two really high prices (can't remember where I heard them). One was an EDOT for $8500, and the other was a White Computer Space for $10K. Whether these actually happened, I dunno... but I kinda remember someone talking about them at some point.

The most I've ever gotten for a game was 2200.00 for a Williams Turkey Shoot. This was in 2002 mind you and videos weren't going for any where near that. IIRC, this was hipped overseas. Buyer paid for everything-man those were the days. Now it's more common to deal with losers selling a game for 600.00 that's really worth 150.00.

And non-working too... maybe if he got it working first, it'd hit $10K. :p

Wow, the people who buy from coin op must be really stupid or gullible.
That Enviro is totally beat up. Cabinet art is scratched and the body is damaged on the bottom. Rust everywhere, and NOT working for $8600 bucks!!???
That would have sat for 3 years on Ebay for that ridiculous asking price.
Like this bozo knows anything about collectors.

Fixed that for you!

Lots of HUO/modded/rare/etc pins go for 10k or over it seems like, or they're sold for a lesser price and the sellers just don't correct the discrepancy in the thread, either one. I'm also pretty sure working SW cockpits or EDOTs could easily fetch this these days. The days of a DK for 250 are gone my friends, we're just going up up up. Thank god I got all the non-90s and beyond games I wanted when I did.

You can rant all you want... but I see these guys sell games at insane prices in MINUTES every single day. Have seen them sell a non working popeye for $850 in less than 5 minutes. I truly have no idea how they do it, but they do.

I think they sell a lot of games to people overseas

I have bought a few games from them at good prices though, and the seller I dealt with (ben) could not have been any nicer if he tried including loading my game up with a forklift for me. FWIW.

I envy their selling abilities
