POLL Has anyone sold an arcade game for $10k+?

I'd be more interested to know who has bought a game for over $10K.

If you have, don't post here. Just PM me. I have things to sell you.

Pretty sure the im famous Sundance sold for more than that. Sucks that thing was sitting in an abandon building 10 minuette from my house!

Had to do it... .

I'm aware of a transaction for one cab that took place a couple years back for well over $10k.

Not my place to name names etc (sorry), but it happened.

I'm interested to know if there are cabs that would command that sort of price on the open market simply because that's what they're worth.

ie. rather than "someone is willing to pay $10k for a particular cab, just because they want it that bad". What cabs would be advertised as those sorts of prices? I guess Major Havoc is up there, but not at $10k levels.

A better POLL would be,

Which arcade games collect more than $5000US and which pinball machines are worth over $10000US?

For Arcades, I would list anything rare/unique. Unique where perhaps owned by someone specific and/or signed. Rare where only a limited few were made.

I would list Aztarac, Cosmic Chasm, EDOT, Varkon, woody Blaster (and cockpit), duramold Sini, Warrior etc. Maybe even a perfect SW cockpit (w/ 25" amp and multikit etc).

For pins, I have no comment. :D

Akka arrh. Marble Man.

But those probably shouldn't count, and the valuation is conjecture.

At the risk of this turning into a 'what's my game worth?' thread:

Laserdisc games are certainly getting up there in value as well. I used to own a Cube Quest and don't even want to think about what it would cost to get it back today.

Can I see one going for $10K? Ehhh... Not really, at least not at this time. But I could see $5K-$6K, possibly.

What would be interesting to know would be the value that collectors with some of these ultra-rare games have assigned to them for insurance purposes.

Curious if any particular game reached this status from anybody here...
Anything close?

If we are talking about vintage..Yes, Well, I don't know if "Pinballgirl2012" is a member here or not but her retail shop on eBay has sold one game that sold over 10g of which I have documented in my price guide for the EM genre. Another EM pin game of which I cant remember the title went beyond 15K I believe into the 17k but I didn't record it because I didn't start taking sold records for pins until 2014 and that previous sale was before that time.

The current record for Highest price paid EM pin on eBay is a Gottlieb Glamor (Restored) sold for 15,100.00 on June 24th 2016 by eBay seller "pinballgirl2012" No EM pin by any manufacturer has sold for more than this on eBay since 2014. And no EM of any other genre has sold beyond 8000.00 price since 2012. It remains the top record today at least for a EM pin.

I have no way of knowing what is bought or sold on KLOV because I have no way of documenting it. Sorry.
