Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forums and just wanted to say so far in the past few days I've received more knowledge and help than I have in the past month trying to get this cabinet working by going through local amuesment park services.
My question for everyone is to help me identify if my cabinet is the original Galaxian setup. According to other pictures and the original manual its missing some things but has others. First there's no white side art rather a blank black side panel on each side. There's no green tmolding or kick plate art. Also there's a different bulb rather the flourescent type seen in the manual. However, there is a midway coin door I believe, a Bally manufacture plate on the back door, the dip switches settings and other information is on oringial '79 paper I'm thinking and its stapled to the cabinet in the back housing with no rips showing possible relocation. I'm totally baffled as to why this would have most original parts but not others...did they make variants? Thanks!

Josh

Midway switched (for some very weird reason, but I guess it was saving pennies) from the fluorescent set-up to incandescent light bulbs after serial number 3000.

I guess the cab has just been painted black. Any side pics ?

Interesting...I haven't found the serial on this yet. I'll get a side pic up today. It didn't feel painted, looked smooth...vinyl I'm guessing. I don't know much about these other than as a kid my allowance was gone in seconds to them haha.

Actually looking at it closer it looks like the original owners had put some adhesive vinyl over the original siding and stapled it to the back..a shame someone would deface an original.
