Looks like Jersey Jack has added some great people to his team, including/recently Matt from Back Alley. I talked with Jack today and it sound like this machine will be very cool.

Has anyone pre-ordered it yet?

I'm in on the pre-order. I'm kind of on the fence on the theme, but I figure that since the deposits are refundable for quite a while, I may as well see what happens. I think we're going to learn a lot more about it after this weekend.

I'm in for WOZ. Well over 300 pre-orders so far. From what I've seen and heard, it should be an amazing game, perhaps the "pull-out-the-stops" killer pin that many have been hoping for. There will be a lot to like about it. Hearing that Keith Johnson was joining the team sold me on the project. The other members of the design team are no slouches either!

I don't understand the dislike for the WOZ theme. Sure, it may not be a pop culture flavor-of-the-moment, but it certainly is a family-friendly classic with huge worldwide recognition. The Library of Congress says it's the most-watched movie of all time, and an all-time top-10 movie. Plus, it is ripe for inspiring many pinball features and modes, like (my guesses) a tornado scene/killing the wicked witch, following the yellow brick road, poppy field mode, quest for a heart, a brain, courage and getting back to Kansas, Flying Monkey Mode!!!, munchkin multiball, emerald city multiball, the man behind the curtain mode, Glinda the good witch bonus, ruby slipper bonus, etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure there are lots of skeptics and naysayers, but I am looking forward to this pin.

My hang up isn't with the theme so much as how it might be implemented. If it is too "sweet and adorable" it will turn me off. Also, I'll go nuts if I have to listen to a constant background loop of Munchkins singing "Follow the Yellow Brick Road." So that's why I have some reservations, it isn't the theme or movie in general that has me concerned.

even though it's pricey as all hell, i would consider a pre-order if i knew anything about the damn machine.....there's nothing out there.

I hear ya. I'm guessing/hoping that it won't be too kiddie-ish or cheesy, and maybe even a bit edgier. The movie does have lots of dark moments--it's not all munchkins singing "ding, dong!" :D

There likely will be soon. At least a few (positive) hardware announcements and maybe some specific game info. The playfield layout is basically done and they are working on the whiteboards now. I too would like to see the layout soon! But, the deposits are fully refundable until July/August and I'm sure there will be lots of info available by then!

yeah, but if it's the munchkins singing "we represent the lollipop guild, the lollipop guild, the lollipop guild..." and the cowardly lion singing "if iiiiiiii were kiiiiiiiing of the foooorreeessssttttt..." then i'm in like flynn!!!

For me I will not pre-order a game from a new company that never made a game before AND no pictures of the game or details are out.

I did pre-order Big Bang Bar a few years ago but I have played one of the originals and I knew what I was getting.

Ive heard through the grapevine that this is getting rough for him and he doesnt have enough capital to do anything. This is just hear say and I am nobody.

Jersey Jack is going to be at eh 2nd annual Michigan Pinball Expo! He may have a special guest with him, I assume it could be a game.

I'm planning to go to the Expo and will be interesting to meet Jack and hear what he has to say.

"The Michigan Pinball Expo is pleased to announce that Jack Guarnieri of Jersey Jack Pinball will be attending and Speaking at the 2nd annual Michigan Pinball Expo Friday night into late Saturday Afternoon April 15th &16th 2011. Jack will have T-Shirts and Goodies in tow...and according to Jack... maybe even a SPECIAL GUEST! The Michigan Pinball Expo would like to thank Jersey Jack for taking time out of his busy schedule to be a part of the 2011 Michigan Pinball Expo. Thank you!"

I've heard the opposite: things are on schedule and moving forward quickly. But nothing is definite without concrete info.
