Has anyone gotten the nintendo->jamma adapter from Mike's arcade working?

Is there a trick to this? I get it to play blind on my test bench and a couple of seperate jamma cabinets. Games play blind. Is there something I am missing? I tried adjusting the pots but still no video

I haven't used them, but is the adapter made to play JAMMA games on a 20EZ? If so, are you testing using a 20EZ?

You should know that the 20EZ video signal input is different than the regular monitor input:

I have that adapter and use it to repair Nintendo boards on my JAMMA testbed.

Be sure that the rainbow cable between the 2 Nintendo boards is there. If not, you'll need to use the yellow one from Mike's to connect the 2 together.

If you don't have the -5V hooked up in the cabinet, Nintendo boards will play blind. Something in the video circuts must need that voltage. I have had the same problem with a JAMMA adapter many years ago. It was from Mike, though. The one I got had a probem with a direction or a button (so long ago now that I forgot which one) and I jumpered it so that it would work. Otherwise it was a very nice adaptor.
