Ok, i have a ikari warriors cab, the non jamma snk ls-30 stick one. It is a bitch to get the harness to plug into the pcb edge connnector right,(if i am using all that terminology correctly)

i have to plug it in like 10-15 times before i find the sweet spot and it works,

but if it do something like screw down the pcb to the side of the cab, it messes up again.

so i have it half screwed down and in the posistion its going to stay in for now. so its working.

my question is, i will be wanting to buy more pcbs and be able to swap them out from week to week to play other games.
so is it better to just buy a ikari to jamma adaptor and use that, (will that alivate this problem or make it worse?)

or should i rewire the original harness connector first before trying to use a ikari to jamma adaptor?

also another question does anyone have expirence with the jamma extension boards?
that would be sweet to have a shelf inside my cab with like 5 boards in it.

You really need to find out where the problem is. It could be on either of your boards, either could have broken traces that cause this sort of intermittent problem you are experiencing.

It sounds to me like your Ikari pcb is the problem since screwing it down causes the problem to go hard (permanent). You can visually inspect the board for cracks or you can use your meter to do the same. Be sure to flex the board during the visual inspections or continuity checks.

A Jamma adaptor will be your easiest solution if you plan to play other games in this cab...

It depends on what's wrong with your cabinet. It could be the connector on the harness, or the connector on the Ikari board. Clean up the edge connector on the Ikari Warriors board. Use Isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel and scrub it clean. If you get lots of black gunk off, then there is part of your problem. You can clean the connector on the harness by folding up a piece of paper to the thickness of a board and pressing it straight into the connector, and pulling it straight out. Don't slide it side to side, you'll bend the pins. Wet the paper with a little alcohol if the connector is real dirty.

If you're looking to swap lots of boards in the cabinet, Jamma is definitely the way to go. If your harness connector is in bad shape right now, then you'll probably be best off replacing the harness with a new (good quality) Jamma harness and going that route. You can get/make adapter cards to go between everything that's not Jamma and Jamma.

Or, if your harness connector seems OK and you don't want to go to the hassle of re-wiring everything, you can make an adapter card to go from your cabinet to Jamma.
