I bought a brand new board and plugged it in. I can start the game and everything works but the monitor. the monitor is toshiba a68kju96x and a part #on the chassis is 7524j-3. It powers on and you hear it buzzing but no picture. Can someone tell me some things to look for to fix it or know whats wrong.

thanks,justin

The monitor number you listed is actually the tube number. I don't recognize the p/n off the chassis either. You can compare your chassis to the ones here:

Or you can post a couple of pictures of the chassis here and someone should be able to identify it. Once the chassis is known we can better help with the troubleshooting.

I don't recognize the chassis but some of the more experienced techs most likely will. In the mean time you can check all connectors for tightness. It also looks like one two wire connector, a red and blue pair, is not connected. I doubt that it is your problem but it might be worth a shot. Also, have you checked the fuse(s) on the chassis?

ok will do. the red and blue was in but i pulled it out to be able to get in to take pictures and i checked the fuse and its good.

what do i need to do if the glass isnt glowing. Do i need to send the chassis off to get rebuilt or is it something i can look at to fix myself?

Sorry I didn't get back to you last night...

Anyway, it looks like you have no high voltage. A cap kit and possible replacement of the HOT and/or flyback should rectify your problem. However, we still need to identify your chassis in order to make ordering parts easier. Try contacting Arcadecup, a member on these boards. He works on a lot of monitors and may be able to identify yours.

there is Japanese writing on the board ill try to get a pic of it. the number on the main board is 7528h-10. it makes the normal sound at boot up like its going to come on and still nothing on the screen.
